I believe this study is VERY significant in the US, where average
maternity leaves are 4 weeks. Aren't maternity leaves considerably
longer in the Netherlands?

IME, women who know they must return to work 2 weeks after giving birth,
usually do not even initiate BF, although they would  if they had a
longer leave.

Our working mom's come from all areas of the income spectrum. IME the
very poor have the very short leaves....single teen mom who works at
fast food establisment. Although some of the very wealthy also have very
short leaves..they seem to be more self-imposed...the young married
professional who doesn't want to "fall behind" and needs to "stay in the
loop" these women while also highly educated and more likely to initiate
BF, may be "profession oriented" enough to sacrafice BF for professional
advancement.
