I have a mom whose baby is now 1 month old. She has had various lactation
help, and still has sore nipples. There has been some improvement since 2
days ago she stopped using hydrogel pads--my suggestion. She tried some
of the suggestions for a different latch, and this has helped (in last few
days), but she says her nipples have always been very sensitive to cold.
She said she used to wear padded bras to protect them, and now they hurt
after feeding as soon as baby comes off the breast.
Seems like it may be vasospasm/Reynauds or something like that, and I
suggested the Lana Care wool breast pads. She is a little alarmed at their
cost, and wants to know if I know other women who used them successfully for
the problem she has.
Anyone have any experience with these pads? I have given them for moms
to use, but not recently, so don't have any up-to-the-minute experience.
