i think giving out lanolin is the most benign of the many, many
dangerous/ill-advised things done in the name of breastfeeding at local
hospitals. but, recently they have all switched back to giving out generic
lanolin instead of the purified brands. the extent to which one will go to
save money! i tell moms that stuff is good for the diaper area (hee hee).
also, if yeast is all around us all the time, i can't see why i should get
all excited about all these "things" harboring yeast. it isn't the yeast, its
the susceptibility of the mom or baby to the overgrowth of same.
