I find it hard to believe that small amounts of alcohol would impair the
MER in the average mother.  I also doubt that it helps, either.  However,
the placebo effect can be very powerful indeed and if a mom believes that
a few sips of wine or beer will help her to let-down, then it probably
will.  Ingestion of large amounts is another thing entirely.
