 Dear JCanahua:
I am a staff educator at a hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. We were
disappointed with the lack of support our nursing staff were giving
breastfeeding mothers. We put every single nurse and nursing assistant
through an 8 hour breastfeeding instruction class. We plan to measure
whether we see an increase in the number of mothers continuing breastfeeding

into the 6month of age as a result of our education. You mentioned in
LACTNET that you had a survey being used to assess breastfeeding support in
the hospital for mothers and that it was translated into Spanish as well.
Any chance that I could receive a copy of this as well? It might be one
other outcome to measure to see if our mass educational effort made a
difference. Thanks for your time. SMulderRN
