Although there is some evidence of reduced cognitive function in some
babies whose mothers used marijuana, I am always impressed how this is
always blamed on breastfeeding. After all, if they smoked it during
lactation, might they not have done so during pregnancy, when the baby's
brain is more sensitive and getting larger doses. This same argument
holds for PCB's in breastmilk and the like.

The nurse should stop being such a crusader (no one every blames bottle
feeding pushers of being crusaders, eh). There is no evidence for what
she says. I don't think it will hurt the baby to have a little
cannabis, tiny amounts for a bit.

The mother should breastfeed!!!
