My boss is at home this morning and just took a call from the mother of a 6
month old asking about the safety of taking RU 486 during breastfeeding.
She's asked me to dig up what information on it that I can.

I did a Lactnet archive search just now, and could not find anything on it.
What do we know, if anything, about using RU 486 while breastfeeding? I
could not find it in my Hale 2000, or even in my new 2001-2002 Mosby's Drug
Reference. I went to Hale's website to search his forum, and found one
response from him dated October of last year. He basically said that it's
an antiprogestin agent, and doubts it will affect milk supply since milk
production is "started and continued early postpartum, when you don't even
have progestin being secreted." But he's not sure, he says.

Any wisdom out there from our collective on this one? My thanks in advance!
