Ilene,

The only other time I've encountered this was in a young woman who was on the birth control pill (for acne treatment) and was also an avid runner -- marathons and such.  The combination of the hormonal tricks by the Pill and the rubbing of her shirt/bra on her nipples during her runs was enough to convince her brain that she needed to produce milk!

I hope this perhaps sheds light on your colleague's situation,
