Hi Lucy,
I've been in the field in maternal-newborn care / breastfeeding for 31
yrs, and for me, the latest thing in the last couple years has been
reverse pressure softening (RPS) and biological nurturing or laid back
bf. So, if they don't need the basics, I would share that with them.
I think it would be very important to share resources they can refer
to, and refer moms to (Hale's book, Infant Risk Center, local IBCLCs,
LLL, etc), and maybe the newest or nearest milk banks (one coming soon
in Mississippi).
You might very briefly share statistics as to where Arkansas is in bf
rates (low) and the goals for bf in the USA, mainly to motivate them.
