helen, of course *we* all know there is no such thing as dry breastfeeding.
the important point here is that if the hospital staff believe the mother is
not doing something "wrong" (feeding her baby unmeasurable amounts between the
Scheduled All Important Must Have Been Ordained By God feeding times) then
maybe the mother can go ahead and do it, even though of course we, in the us
of a, *know* that that baby is much better off in it's little isolette,
untouched by human hands, or, god forbid, human breast.

i think this is somehow related to the weird concept held by mammography
clinics wherein they exclaim "oh we can't POSSIBLY do a mammogram of your
breast since you are breastfeeding! go home and wean that baby and come back
on monday!" duh. which is why i haven't had one.
