Hi everyone. I need your help.
I am working with a Mom and 3 week old. She has severe pain with nursing which starts about 10 min. into the feeding then she has been deep breathing for a few more minutes and then she has to take him off. Then the pain is shooting up into her breast. When she takes him off there is a white line across her nipple at the same angle as his mouth.  
We have tried every position and a shield and it continued to happen. He opens his mouth wide and when he is latched it all looks good, tongue visible below the nipple. His mouth could be open wider though. Have tried holding his chin down while he latches without success. She sandwiches her breast well and brings him in close and keeps him close.
