Dear Friends:
Betsey reminds us of something, that babies can get into poor positions
in utero.
    Yes this is true.
I believe it was from Gloria LeMay (but not 100% certain) that I first
heard about posterior presentations being a side-effect of modern life.
Who scrubs a floor any more? Or hangs laundry up high on the line? Who
sits on a firm sofa, or a straight chaird, even in our cars?
We are always leaning backin soft chairs with cushions, and bucket
seats. We sit lots of the time at work, because we are at computers.
We aren't walking very much, much less digging in a garden or scrubbing
the floor. We are being set up by our culture (of comfort, relaxation, and
ease) for rougher births.
    warmly,
