Law and Order is one of the few TV shows I watch, and I was so depressed by
this episode. I couldn't stop thinking about it all night. There is one line
where the defense lawyer asks the Lactation consultant "breastfeeding is a
crusade for you, isn't it?" and the LC responds by saying that breastmilk is
best because of nutrients and antibodies, and that it's a natural process,
it's formula that's not natural. And then the lawyer says "but babies don't
starve to death on formula, do they?" and the LC bows and looks beaten by
the lawyer's brilliant logic.

Oh, it was horrible. The judge criticized the LC for using intimidation and
threats to force the mother to breastfeed. The mother said she had no way of
knowing how much or how little milk the baby was getting.

Very frustrating to watch!
