Dear Zena,
Is there any chance that the mother got the name wrong? Like maybe
she didn't remember just exactly what her doctor said and hasn't gotten the
prescription filled yet, so can't read the name off the bottle? There is a
relatively new SSRI called Lexapro. I wrote to Dr. Hale about it, and he wrote
back, "Lexapro is just the active S-isomer of Celexa. So there's really no
difference from Celexa. I doubt milk levels will be any different from those
published for Celexa." Celexa is the US trade name for citalopram, which is on pg.
162 of the 2002 Hale.
