A couple of years ago I worked with a mom whose EBF baby had the
worst eczema I had ever seen - raw open wounds on face and scalp,
just ghastly. Mom duly eliminated from her diet the very large
quantity of dairy (and occasional beef) she had been ingesting. She
substituted goat's products for bovine. The eczema improved, but
didn't resolve. A kind lactnetter let me know that goat's proteins
are 80% the same as bovine, and suggested that mom eliminate goat
products too. She did, and finally the eczema completely cleared,
though it took several months. She substituted sheep's
cheese/yoghurt, and ate pork and chicken and fish instead of
beef. To see the little girl's clear, smooth skin again was worth
all the sacrifice! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it happen.
