I was just looking for this information yesterday. I know that i have seen a PPP on the web by Marsha Walker that discussed normal feedings and amount intakes during the first couple days of life but i couldn't find it this time. I looked at PPP that i made that i had used the information on and it said 3-8 feedings in the first 24 hours. This was the reference Jacqueline C. Kent, How Breastfeeding Works, Journal of Midwifery Womens Health 2007;52:564–570
