Hi, all and Happy New Year!

I don't have any further suggestions for the mom Janna's working with
who has an overabundant supply and is slowly weaning. But I would like
to ask fellow Lactnetters their opinion of breast binding as a method of
"preventing engorgement" and/or assisting weaning. Some OB's here still
recommend this method. Do any of you see aftereffects of this such as
plugged ducts or subsequent mastitis? Also, doesn't all the
binding/unbinding[add cabbage leaves]/rebinding constitute too much
stimulation of the breast tissue and actually produce more milk? What if
we just left the breasts alone as much as possible?

Just musing.
