Have you considered or tried using index finger to 
Dear Elizabeth,


Have you considered or tried using index finger to hold back the lower jaw of the baby when offering the breast. This helps baby to open mouth wide and also prevents the baby from sucking in lower lip. Once latch you could also use a finger to do a lower lip flip gently. Mother might a little help while doing this initially.
