Just today, I too received samples of the "new" products that Medela is marketing for pumping mothers. I just say I was a bit taken back when I opened the package and saw what the latest marketing technique was...don't we use "economical" as one of the reasons to market breastfeeding and committing to pumping for mothers? How economical can breastfeeding really be with all the gadgets that we have? And the number of items available has increased over the last few years...some for the better!! Now I realize that breastfed babies are healthier and the money saved is actually reflected not only in formula savings, but also in decreased visits to the doctor's office, but I am not sure that these will be products that I will recommend to my clients. And the cost was not included in the package, but I am sure will follow in a catalog soon. What ever happened to hot soapy water???? Just had to vent after opening my mail today at work!!!
