Our Lactation Center is going to be doing a workshop for staff training,
beginning next month. We will be training 5 nurses at a time, 2 eight hour
days of class. Throughout the year, we will repeat the class. Naturally the
most work on our part will be planning the first one. We have an outline,
and we are really excited that our nurses will be paid for their training
time. Hopefully within a year and a half we will have trained the whole
staff. The manager of our unit has made the class mandatory for all
mother-baby nurses, labor and delivery nurses, and special care nursery
nurses.

We are looking for some short videos that will be good for health care
providers, on the subjects of
baby friendly, kangaroo care, and breastfeeding premature babies. We also
were wondering about the UNICEF video, Breastfeeding:A Global Priority. If
anyone would recommend that we get that one, let me know. If so, where can
we get it? We do not have a lot of money for our venture, so we would
appreciate
knowing about really good short videos that are not expensive. Since we
have so much information and so little time, we can't show long videos.
Many of the videos we have are way too wordy, and we would have to show a
minute or two and go forward, and then a little bit of another one. It would
mean a lot of juggling to get to the parts they would find relevant.

I would appreciate any answers on my private email, as this may not be of
interest to the whole group.
Thank you so much for any suggestions.
