Hey all,

Today's issue of the Trib had a wonderful article on co-sleeping -- lots and
lots of quotes from our Jim McKenna and an excellent one from Katie Alison
Granju. The photo accompaniment was of a mom & baby sleeping together in
Jim's lab at Notre Dame. Jim was given some good space, and had the
opportunity to debunk the CPSC's "study" and the numbers they came up with
r/t co-sleeping and infant deaths in adult beds. Jim was able to say all the
stuff we've been hollering about, such as the study doesn't say if the babies
were in bed w/ adults or just in an adult bed; if the parents were drunk,
obese, sleeping w/ too many covers, on a super soft mattress, etc. I felt
very postive reading it. One of the quotes from a co-sleeping mom mentioned
that she knows where her baby is and doesn't roll over on the baby -- just
like she doesn't have a problem with falling out of bed!!

Just a little GOOD news for a change.
