I've spoken to several women who felt nauseous while breastfeeding, and I
seem to recall it was worse during MER. Wilma Marshall did a paper on hot
flushes during bfing and I think some women report nausea during menopausal
hot flashes (flushes). Some endocrinologist needs to help us out here, but
is there a link? Sure must make breastfeeding a trial and while the
breastfeeding advocate in me says "hurrah" to those women for hanging in
there, I also can't help but ponder what the impact on the mother-infant
bond might be if breastfeeding is associated with vomiting or nausea. I'd
like to know how to help these women.

Hot flushes during breast feeding? Marshall, Wilma M. et al. Fertility and
Sterility, Vol. 57 No. 6, June/92 pp 1349-50.
