This formula looks like so many others - mostly a source of caffeine ( in
various "natural" guises ) and ephedrine ( Ephedra), with probably tiny
 read
ineffectual) amounts of all the other herbs on the rather imaginative list (
Royal jelly no less and what is bovine complex?).

Note that the chromium at 75 mcg./tablet at 8 tablets a day is well over the
RDA of 150 mcg./day for adults. Hale notes chromium levels in breastmilk
independent of mom's intake. So babe would be OK but mom might not be!
Mom
might consider finding alternative product with less chromium ( for her own
safety) - plenty of other similar products out there!.

8 tabs/day yields equivalent of 2-3 cups/coffee worth of caffeine. Comm E
sets max dose of ephedrine alkaloids at 300 mg/day. 8 tabs would have 96 mg
ephedrine, so that doesn't seem excessive. Lots of stimulant-related side
effects possible for mom so watch for in baby. Hale suggest may enter milk
only in tiny amounts but no direct study of ephedrine here. As regards
risks
to baby, generally better for mom to use these products and continue nursing
than wean the baby.

Mom does seem interested in doing what's best for the baby. It is important
to use in the recommended doses, and avoid sudden weight loss/mobilization
of
fats.

Hi All,
I wanted to respond to this post since I feel that this is very important.
All herbs with a stimulant property base (i.e. ephedrine, caffine or
vitality stimulants) should be absolutely avoided during breastfeeding.
Not only for the potential stimulating and constipating effect on the child,
but for the direct effect on supply.
Products like this should be examined carefully for the presence of
stimulating herbs that can cross into breast milk and adversely affect
mother and child.
Additional questions can be sent to me direct.

Wishing you health and wellness!
