Well here I live in "liberal" California, home of the hippies,  and "earthy 
folk"  Walking through the mall one day, happily nursing my  infant daughter, 
on the way to have her pictures done, when who should pass by  me, a group of 
teenage girls, wearing spaghetti strap shirts, no bra and nipples  protruding.  
Navel rings were protruding, and their giggles were  loud....Suddenly one 
pointed to me and said loudly (much like the Central Park  Patron) "Ewww she is 
BREASTFEEDING!!!! "  I smiled  politely and pointed out to these girls that I 
could see a lot more of their  breast than they could see of mine, and would 
they mind being a "little more  discreet" and putting some clothes on.  They 
walked away in a huff,  and I found it INCREDIBLY sad that I was looking at the 
next generation of  mothers...who obviously had a poor view of breastfeeding.
 
Renee Drake RN CLC--Who nurses my baby anywhere the need  arises...whether it 
be in a grocery store, a mall or wherever.  And as far  as FAO Schwartz 
goes....let me know when the Nurse In is scheduled...may be  worth a plane ticket 
to join in!!!!
