Dear Ones,

I don't know if anyone posted on this -- I haven't seen it on, but oh well --
if it's been posted....a second kudos doesn't hurt.

Finally sat down to read AWHONN Lifelines. Lo and behold, there is a nifty
little article called "Real World" Nursing. "Students at the U of North
Dakota's College of Nursing...."Childbearing Topics" course, instructor Cindy
Anderson, CNS, MS, IBCLC, required students to use electronic mail, monitor
listserv discussion groups, and search the WWW to monitor information exchange
and dialogue among nursing professionals. The students were required to
monitor discussion for one month on a listserv group, such as the POPULAR
(emphasis mine) Lactnet, a list for lactation professionals, or PNATALRN, a
list for perinatal nursing professionals.... students were asked to evaluate
the "personality" of the list, the variety of topics covered, the etiquette of
the discussion list, and, ultimately, to address a topic of clinical interest
and significance on the listserv....."

First of all, welcome to all the U of ND lurkers. Now we know why all the
questions from y'all. I thought as much, but.... Secondly, I'm dying to know
what "our" personality is like, and how we stack up r/t etiquette....

And thirdly, I think the Kathleens are to be commended once again for
developing a listserv of 1833 strong that is listed in a professional nursing
journal as "popular." I couldn't agree more!

Love,
Jan B. -- who has been on for almost the entire three years.
