Gail, thank you for sending in this link.  Yes, indeed, fascinating 
technology, but very depressing and unclear efficacy....

Unfortunately, use of this formula for delivering a nasty-tasting HIV 
prophylactic drug would guarantee that in order to receive the drug 
for her baby in a nice palatable form the mother would have to 
abandon breastfeeding. Note too that the authors expect the drug to 
be given to babies over 4 weeks of age....

Furthermore, breastfed babies of mothers receiving ART and who have 
achieved an undetectable viral load are not normally given 
prophylaxis themselves beyond 6 weeks of age. So what's with this research??
