I see this done also by the transport team, and I'm told the neo requests
ebm too, at the hospital where we transport most of our sick babies. Very
rarely does a mother refuse. It has to come from all staff: the LCs, the
nurses, the doctors.

I'm sad to say that only myself and my partner and a handful of nurses
believe and support this and kangaroo care and the like. Many nurses and
doctors believe in separating mother and baby too much, and like using
premie formulas over ebm. If I say something very strongly re ebm or bf,
really giving mom no 'choice', I will get into an altercation with someone
much more powerful than me. Sad to say if I want to get anywhere with what
I'm trying to promote, I have to word things carefully.
