Hi. Just wanted to respond to the piece on use of Gentian violet that Jan
Barger put up. Although I agree that sometimes people get carried away with
paranoid fears re: use of certain "home remedies," etc..I do not think that
I would like to take a chance with Gentian violet use for Thrush.

It has been implicated in development of cancer, and it also can cause oral
ulcerations if used improperly.

I would go with the other methods already outlined, in order of increasing
power, ie vinegar and water, then nystatin topically, then up to the
Diflucan etc...route.

Just my opinion. based on what I have read.
