Welcome back to Lactnet!
Here is a link from kellymom website about this issue
http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/lipase-expressedmilk.html
The problem is a lipase, instead of a lactase problem. Typically the mom
notices
an off smell when she thaws frozen milk. What made this mom decide she had
a problem that needed the scalding fix? Maybe she does not need to even do
this.
I don't know if this can be done in the microwave, theoretically it could,
it might
just be difficult to know exactly when the milk scalds, and not boils.
