My recent issue of the alumni magazine from IU's college of arts and
sciences includes a profile of an alumni who is a cartoonist. He writes a
one panel cartoon called Speed Bump, and it says many of his funniest
drawings are inspired by his wife Chris and their 9 month old daughter
Alayna. The one they use to illustrate the article shows a big building in
the background, and in the foreground is a sign reading "School of Nursing."
Along the sidewalk leading to the building a stream of babies are crawling
or toddling away from the building, toward the reader. The two in front are
talking and one says "Sheesh, that exam was a bear...my jaws are killing
me!" (School of NURSING -- hee hee hee). I'll bet Alayna is a breastfed
baby.......

The cartoonist's name is Dave Coverly, and he has just been picked up for
syndication, plus American Greetings is putting out a line of "Speed Bump"
greeting cards.
