Ah, the memories of my infancy! haha. (not really, huh?) When I was
brestfeeding my first child, my grandmother informed me that bottles were
invented to correct that nonsense...But, it was my mother who explained that
now I was going to "have to hold the baby to feed it" and "I *never* had to
hold you to feed you". I know this is true since she was a foster mother to
several poor souls who I remember had their bottles tied to bunnies. My
sister was so distressed because she could not find the bunnies with bands
that held bottles and had to roll up blankets to feed her twins...again a
generation not held to be fed, never mind breastfed. I am not surprised to
see these objects abound. I can just see my mother and sister now buying them
for shower gifts.... They still sell the plunger feeder for baby food that my
niece and nephews used 20 years ago...my mom just cut the top of my bottle to
let the cereal come out easier...I was three days old when I began my journey
to solids...

Now that I am 40, I could really use those extra brain cells....
