Anna reports on a mom:

<<Just searched the archives wrt vasospasm & did not find anything quite
fitting this conundrum. Am posting with this mom's permission. This mother
has unilateral pain in her left breast>>

This scenario seems remotely similar to the one I posted on awhile back --
and I apologize, as I never did get back to all of you who responded to me
regarding the mom I had with unilateral pain that seemed to be a vasospasm like
Anna is describing. She also had pain only on latch on that side, and then pain
radiating from chest wall to nipple after the feeds and occasionally between
feeds. Baby was 9 months old, and this started just recently.

Just to update you all, I suggested she take ibuprophen around the clock --
low dose, but keep enough in her system to prevent inflammation, as I felt this
could have been a low lying inflammatory response to the mastitis she had
been treated for.

When I called her back, she told me the pain was virtually gone and had been
after she had been on the ibuprophen for 24 hours. Haven't heard from her
since -- my daughter reports that she is continuing to nurse happily and pain
free.

So, Anna -- perhaps????
