I have no doubt that the aftereffects of an epidural can make a baby
sleepy. But, I had 4 unmedicated births and the last three were all
very sleepy. I have fast labors and someone suggested that my babies
were sleepy because they weren't in the birth canal very long and so
didn't get that stimulation to wake them up.
