I'm sure you will get overloaded, but YES, mom's can definitely do this.  
Here in Indy, our Support Group currently has 2 moms with "bad" breasts as they  
call them:)  We have a mom currently bfing baby #2 post mastectomy...doing  
fine.   Our other moms just started out fine, then 1 side was just a  poor 
producer for several reasons and they just let it go!  Nursed only on  one side for 
their entire feeding history.  One is currently pregnant  again..still coming 
to group:) and states she hopes the gimpy one works this  time!  Fun and easy 
going mommas, but growing babies!
 
I am so in love with your instructor!  I hope you all come up to our  
hospital and visit!
