Kathy,
I suspect that babies with bubble palates have hyperactive gag reflexes
to stimulation posterior to the bubble because the palate is naive to
stimulation there.  Nothing touches it, so it does not like being touched.
Lyla (I believe) contracted this theory to two words after I mentioned
it on Lactnet this week.
