Rose, would they be willing to even just look at a Hale's Med/Mother's Milk?
Just a quick glance shows that Mag Sulfate is an L1 lactation risk and a B
pregnancy risk. There are NO reported pediatric concerns following milk
exposure, yet in-utero concerns include sedation and hypotonia. 

Pitocin has a 1/2 life of 3-5 minutes. Epidurals (last time I checked,
locally) are a combination of bupivacaine and fentanyl. Bupivacaine has a
1/2 life of 2.5 hours, andFentanyl is a narcotic with a 1/2 life of 2-4
hour. No reported concerns via milk.

The drugs you have mentioned here are riskier, and more commonly given,
during pregnancy. Yet, they have no real concerns during lactation.

regarding labor and delivery medications and the effects on breastfeeding
Especially pitossin, magnesium sulfate (which here the MDs won't let mother
breastfeed) and epidurals.
