It is not unusual from my personal experience to have pumping difficulty on
return to work despite no nursing difficulties.  The stress of working often
make these not optimal hours for adequate milk expression. I have gone to
pumping simultaneously with nursing in the morning and evening figuring if
double pumping increases prolactin, so should one pump and one baby.  It also
makes let down much easier.  These worked until about 8 months when the baby
started pulling on the pump tubing but by this point the supply was back up.
