Lactnetters, Wanted to let you know about the Bill Moyers'
documentary, "Kids and Chemicals," which will be airing nationally on
PBS stations next week on May 10. Check your local listings for
exact time. (Here in New York, it's on at 9 pm. The show is part of
his weekly program called, "Now with Bill Moyers.")

I was interviewed for the program and will be discussing breast milk
contamination. As I was filmed while nursing (at least in one shot),
I certainly hope that my remarks will be seen as pro-breastfeeding.
(I also hope my HAIR looks okay...it fell out by the handful after
Elijah's birth and was at its thinnest when the film crew was here in
November.)

I haven't yet seen the show myself and will be in Alaska when it airs.

There should be much of interest here to those concerned about
prenatal exposures to toxic chemicals, pesticides, learning
disabilities, childhood cancer clusters, rising rates of asthma. I
understand that these topics, as well as the problem of breast milk
contamination, are all part of the show.

Do let me know what you think.

warmly, Sandra
