I appreciate your reply Heather.  The sad part is that we DO have a breastfeeding policy!  We are revising it now to update it.  I'm sorry to say that it is not taken seriously.  I can put out articles, videos and I gave each staff member their own BF self learning packet, but it hasn't helped very much.  I gave lectures also on the unit but now its like pulling teeth to get people to come.  Anyway, I still would like to hear from anyone who uses or has thoughts about the sucrose pacifiers for pain relief in infants.  Thanks.
