SNS MAY BE HELPFUL, HOWEVER AN INDWELLING NASOGASTRIC TUBE MAY BE BETTER
OFTEN INFANTS WITH THIS CONDITION CANNOT CONSUME ENOUGH CALORIES AND
THEREFORE,WEIGHT GAIN IS A CONCERN. IF THEY DONT' WEIGH SUCH AND SUCH
POUNDS, SURGURY WILL BE DELAYED. PARENTS CAN BE TAUGHT TO NG FEED. THE
BREASTMILK MAY NEED TO BE FORTIED,
AGAIN THIS IS TO MEET THE GREAT CALORIC DEMAND. THS SNS WILL NOT WORK IF
THE INFANT IS TOO WEAK TO SUCK. THE NG WILL ALLOW THE FREEDOM TO NURSE
AND TO PROVIDE ADDED CALORIES. IT WILL ALSO ALLOW FOR REST, FEEDINGS
CAN BE GIVEN WHILE THE INFANT SLEEPS. MOM WILL NEED A PUMP AND MUCH
EMOTIONAL SUPPORT THROGH THIS DIAGNOSIS PHASE. GOOD LUCK
