Just got a add in the mail today from Ross:
<"So Close To You" (picture of happy mom bottle-feeding her infant)
Similac with iron has been clinically shown to support a baby's visual and
mental development similar to the way breast milk does.
In a controlled clinical trial, children fed Similac with iron during their
first year had visual development and vocabulary and IQ scores at 39 months
similar to those of toddlers who had been breastfed. No other formula makes
that claim.>

I don't know about you but I view that as a direct attack against
breastfeeding as opposed to the honest promotion of formula. Of course, I am
not sure what "clinically shown" nor what "similar" actually means, eh? You
can bet that I will demand a copy of this "controlled clinical trial" from the
Ross rep next time I see him. But then again, he usually avoids me and tosses
his pitch to my office nurse.
