Wanted to share a story...
I moderate a website for families carrying or having had babies with
anencephaly, a fatal defect with absence of the brain and skull (or
variations thereof).  One of the moms gave birth Thursday to her daughter
who is still living and doing well at temp regulation and feeding (formula)
via bottle.  Suck is not strong enought to latch and suckle well.  Mom
called me today and as a result of the conversation, was sending someone out
ASAP to get a breast pump so she can give the baby expressed milk.
No matter the length of a baby's life, breastmilk is powerful!
