Alicia,   Thanks for your comments on Nov 24.   In fact Jackie Glover did
email me directly about the study, though she herself is not on Lactnet.  She
clarified that the stats were collected when the postpartum stays were 4 to 5
days and one of the criteria for discharge was that the baby was gaining
weight. So the change in the supplementation rates was not related to
decreasing the length of stay.  Perhaps Jackie could jump onto Lactnet again
and elaborate on her comments to me about how change came about in that
hospital.  It was an example of change theory in a clinical setting.

However, she went on to say that when the stay decreased in their hospital,
the supplementation rates jumped up again.
