I wrote to them about this article a while back and did not receive a
response.  I noted in particular that in their focus on BPA they recommend
powdered infant formula, but do not mention the fact that it is not sterile.
 It seems to me that if they're writing a article about how to make formula
feeding safer they should at least address all the major formula safety
issues relative to other kinds of formula, not to mention relative to
breastfeeding!

I'm guessing the problem is not their funding sources but their point of
view - their efforts are focused on toxins in products.  Breastmilk is not a
commercial product, and bacterial contamination is not a toxin - so these
aren't on their radar as much.  Their Skin Deep database guides you to
choose safer commercial products from within a class, but doesn't offer
advice about living more product-free!
