as a former sufferer of polyarthralgia - in remission since january yeah! - i
will say that having read extensively about these diseases, i saw nothing that
ever indicated a link with breastfeeding. furthermore, none of the sources i
read or rheumatologists i saw EVER indicated that prednisone would be used as
a first treatment. it is very far down on the list now that other, more
effective drugs are used. so suggest she get a second opinion and talk to the
arthritis foundation; they have nights here in denver when you can call and
talk to a specialist for free.

ps also, breastfeeding is FAR easier than the alternatives. it provides a lot
of sitting down time when you are too fatigued to do anything else anyway.
