I apologize to all those whom I drove crazy with my abbreviations. Here's
the decoder:

ITN= intracthecal narcotic, otherwise known as "the walking epidural".

MER= milk ejection reflex

NNS= non-nutritive sucking, a highly controversial term that we argue about
constantly. <g> I am using it to refer to short, choppy sucks that result in
little milk transfer and very high suck/swallow ratio.

Now that I've defined my mystery code, I'd be most interested in hearing
other's observations of babies born to mothers who had ITNs during delivery.
