Have a mom who gave birth last Friday.   Two or three days prior to the
birth, she developed a red, rash around her navel (when she was still
pregnant, it was the "outermost" part of her belly where the skin was
stretched tightest).  The rash has not gone away, although it seems
slightly less severe.  It's definitely itchy.  During labor, one of the
midwives suggested pregnancy rash and thought it would go away soon
after the baby was born.  The midwife who saw the mom at discharge
thought it was yeast.  The mom is definitely high-risk for yeast/thrush
(IV antibiotics for Group B strep during labor; a round of oral
antibiotics prescribed yesterday for a breast infection) but this
started prior to all the treatment.  The only reference I can find to a
rash associated with yeast is in damp parts of the body (creases/folds,
etc - *in* the navel might make sense in this context, but not
around...) or as a diaper rash.  I've checked the archives and haven't
turned up anything exactly like this - any thoughts?
