The recent posts about 'bribes' given to nurses are coming from the formula
maker.  They are using Panera gift cards because they are a wonderful,
healthy place to eat.  They are also very generous as a corporation.  I know
firsthand that they clear out all their stock at the end of each day in our
region and donate the goods to charity.  We get it all - - a carload, at
least - - one night a week to take to a soup kitchen.  We often have so much
left over they we can also supply a shelter for battered women and children.

It is unfortunate that such a responsible corporate citizen (Panera) is
linked to a negative promotion from a corporation that violates the WHO code
and threatens the health of babies worldwide.

The nurses who are enabling this subtrefuge must have checked their ethics
at the door!
