If verifying the members' affiliations with ABM is impractical, then
why bother with the pretense. If I had my druthers, I wouldn't have them
here, but I don't see how you can prevent it. Use your energies towards
enforcing the "rules of the road" so that if an ABM-affliate breaks the
rules of discourse on LN he/she can be removed. At least it might slow
them down. That includes the requirement that they identify themselves
with every post.
I like the previous suggestion of having the sign off include
location. Add to that affiliation for all. Since I am fairly new at
this, I can't remember where everyone is from.
I would appreciate the Daily News article reprinted.
As for the PNS (I like your abbreviations for it), we are selling a lot
of them to working mothers, never to NICU moms. My very general
guidelines for the pumps we have are: to establish a milk supply-double
electric hospital-grade; with established milk supply-frequent
pumping-PNS, infrequent pumping-Mini, very infrequent pumping-hand
(M----a,A/E). This is modified by many factors, among them
-presence/absence of baby, duration of pumping, cost, convenience. I
once had a mother bring in and maintain her supply until her baby
decided to breastfeed at 2 wks., all with a M----a hand pump. She
couldn't afford a double electric pump and the hand pump was working for
her. Not what I recommend, but she was happy, so I was happy.
We have had 2 PNS's have problems with moisture developing in the
tubing. Anyone else seen this?
