The questionable article is in the October 2002 issue. In my opinion, it's
got a snide and angry edge. There is a fair amount of accurate information,
but it's wedged in between the author's flippant remarks and dismissive
attitude toward breastfeeding and LCs. I supposed it's meant to be
something like humor, but, oh, how it has failed!

Further, the prelude to the article begins: "Pediatricians recommend
nursing your baby for at least 6 months ... ." Um, yeah. Well, I guess
there *are* an awful number of pediatricians who have not read the AAP,
AAFP, and WHO statements. That doesn't let Child (or Parents, for that
matter) off the hook for perpetuating the error.
